Jessica Gutierrez

Jessica Gutierrez  has been a cheer coach for LHS CHEER for the past 4 years and has been the ICAP (Life Skills - Special Ed.) teacher at Knowles Elementary for 4 years.

Coach Guti is from Laredo, TX, where she attended and cheered at JB Alexander High School. She moved to Austin to attend The University of Texas at Austin where she received her BA in Applied Learning and development in 2003. She has only worked for LISD in her four years of teaching.

Coach Guti is a Head Instructor for the prestigious National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) and has been working for them for the past 9 years. She loves cheerleading and enjoys sharing her love for the sport with the young men and women that she works with. She enjoys seeing these cheerleaders grow each year into young adults and takes pride in their success. Coach Guti takes pride that some of her former cheerleaders have gone onto become college cheerleaders. She enjoys seeing the growth and excellence that the LHS CHEER program exemplifies every year!

Heather Frith

Heather Frith  has been a cheer coach for LHS CHEER for the past 5 years and has been at the high school level for the past two. She also taught Kindergarten in LISD for 5 years, before moving up to the high school in 2005.

Coach Frith is from Longview, Texas, where she attended Pine Tree High School. She moved to Austin after graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2000. She has only worked for LISD in her seven years of teaching. She resides in Leander after moving from the Austin area in 2002.

Coach Frith takes pride in knowing that the men and women she works with each year go on to do wonderful things in the real world and use what they have learned at LHS to get there. Many LHS cheerleaders have gone on to college in pursuit of their own excellence! Watching the program grow every year is very fulfilling to Coach Frith.

Heather is married to a great, hard-working man Michael. They have a beautiful and energetic daughter, Emma.
