in San Antonio TX on July 23rd-26th where they garnered many
awards making Leander proud! The varsity, junior varsity, and
freshmen squads competed against 30 other teams at camp and

brought home a superior ribbon at every evaluation, and the Varsity
team earned superior ribbons at all their evaluations during camp.
The Freshmen and Varsity teams earned the TEAM Award during their

displays great team unity while performing their cheers and chants,
this award is voted on by the other teams at camp. The JV and
Varsity teams earned Technical Excellence awards during evaluations
as well. The JV team earned a Technical Excellence award in the area

NCA family by extending them an application to try out for NCA.
Amber W. (Captain) and Tara M. (Co-captain) continued the tradition
of having a LHS Cheer member asked to be on staff. These two young
ladies were recognized for having great overall technical skills and
great leadership!
We are pleased to say that our entire program has been invited to
perform at any one of the following NCA special events: performing
in the pre-game festivities of the Orange Bowl in Miami, Fl;
traveling to Orlando, FL and take part in the NCA Christmas
Extravaganza at the Walt Disney World Resort; or traveling to Oahu,
Hawaii during Thanksgiving to give a halftime performance at the
